About Us
Located in Escondido, near Westminster Seminary, Royal Way Scholé is a faith-rooted learning initiative designed to nurture spiritual understanding through the beauty of nature, and hands-on discovery. Our approach invites children to experience God’s Word in a tangible, creative way—through what they can see, touch, and celebrate.
We are a non-profit 508(c)(1)(a) unincorporated church, created to help children grasp abstract biblical truths through concrete imagery, outdoor exploration, symbolic art, movement, and community rhythms.
Through nature and its cycles, we learn about God’s provision, rest, redemption, and joy—not just as stories, but as embodied experiences become gateways to deeper understanding.
We invite individuals, children, and families to walk ancient paths together, rediscovering sacred times and teaching their children through wonder, play, and worship.
Our Story
Royal Way grew out of my own journey as a mother, homeschool educator, and therapist. For more than 20 years, I have worked with children and families, and much of what we do at Royal Way has grown from what I have learned both professionally and while teaching my own children.
I have a deep love for biblical scholarship and believe children (and adults) should learn not only what Scripture says, but how to study it for themselves. I want them to know how to ask good questions, examine context, explore the meaning of important words, compare Scripture with Scripture, and test what they are taught against God’s Word. In a world filled with competing voices and ideas, I believe these skills are essential in helping children recognize truth and guard against deception.
I also wanted my children to experience Scripture as something living and connected to the world around them—not simply information to memorize. That led us to explore Scripture through nature, story, biblical language, art, meaningful questions, and hands-on discovery.
Royal Way is an extension of that vision: a place where children can wonder, explore, ask questions, grow in character, and develop a faith they understand, can examine for themselves, and know how to live.
Our Vision
Our calling is to help children know God’s Word, recognize truth, understand biblical times and seasons, and develop a faith they know how to live.
We want children to become curious seekers of truth—learning to search the Scriptures, ask meaningful questions, test what they hear against God’s Word, and discover how the story of Scripture points to Messiah.
Through nature, play, story, and life together, Royal Way invites children to experience these truths rather than simply learn about them—helping them grow in wisdom and understanding so they can live lives of integrity, strong character, and faithful obedience to God.
Why This Matters
Bibles are everywhere, yet knowing how to read Scripture carefully and discern truth is increasingly important. Our goal is not simply to tell children what to believe, but to teach them how to search God’s Word for themselves.
Like the Bereans, we want children to ask questions, examine Scripture, and test what they are taught. We explore how Scripture points to Messiah and how God’s order and seasons help tell the larger biblical story.
We want children to develop a faith that is understood, examined, and lived—learning to listen carefully, question wisely, seek truth, and grow into people of integrity and godly character.

At the heart of Royal Way Scholé is a love for the Bible and a desire to help children experience its truths in meaningful ways. We explore Scripture through story, nature, hands-on discovery, and an understanding of its original biblical setting.
The rhythms and seasons found throughout Scripture provide opportunities to bring learning to life—helping children see connections, ask questions, and discover the richness of God’s Word.
